An excellent hive for nucs, catching swarms, or rearing queens. The body is made of solid pine and is sized to allow 5 deep Langstroth frames. All joints are dovetail style for maximum strength and superior hold. This hive comes with a transport style lid that allows the nuc boxes to be placed directly beside one another or ratchet strap for moving. Can also be used to safely store frames or isolate the queen when doing a hive inspection. If you install a disc entrance and reverse the bottom board it is bee tight for transport or keeping the bees at home.

This kit comes unassembled in 6 pieces (2 sides, 2 faces, reversible bottom board and transport lid).
